Regrettably, in view of the coronavirus epidemic, we have seen fit to suspend our weekly meetings for the time being.
"Sad, but sensible," was one participant's comment.
(Thank you, Ken. I am often sad, but rarely sensible!)
It seems likely that this suspension will last at least until after Easter.
Our regular members will be e-circulated when it becomes prudent to continue having music and fun in wonderful company, so watch your inbox.

Right decision IMHO. It seems that over 60's with underlying health issues are the main target of this virus. While that doesn't apply to me I do have to consider you in this and something of the truth concerning these matters that you might like to consider further.
For you to hear my music it seems that I must bring it to you. Even my many albums have not sold well. Then I must pay up as well. This is very far from what I had in mind at the outset. I had imagined fame, fortune and a proliferation of nubile young ladies grovelling and pleading for the smallest touch of my hand.
How differently it has turned out. Now I cannot even be in the same space with anyone let alone shake their hand. Not to worry I have a plan. I will equip my home with a huge amplifier in the front garden and a bucket full of disinfectant. My music will be playing loudly 24/7 and you can drive by and toss coins into my bucket. Please give generously as we have toilet rolls to buy.
This isolationist practice will continue until we expire from natural causes, by which time you will probably be actively seeking some COVID-19 urgently. Worry not. I have a supply put by in sealed jars that is replicating even as we speak. In fact it is so predictable one can tell the time by it.
With so much time on my hands and the seclusion and peacefulness now afforded I have been writing a suite of songs. I am hoping when published that they go viral!
See you in 2021 - Best regards, strings by

Even though we can no longer meet, my love is undiminished;
I’ll play you in the key of sea, and wait until you’re finished
I can no longer play my flute my fingers are in shreds
The washing of my hands is now something what I dreads

Music from my early years. My mother had a gramophone. A present for her 21st BD in 1932. From my very earliest years I was allowed to play it. It came with a few 78 records from the 20's & 30's. We were lucky to have it as new records didn't start to appear in Britain until the late 1940's. Tunes like "The Harry Lime Theme" which I think was actually called "The Theme from the Third Man" a film set in the sewers of Austria and starring Michael Rennie and Orson Wells. It was a drain on their economy!

With YouTube I have been able to find a lot of those old artistes and put some life to what has been forever only a sound. This therefore is a gem. Play it people; Play it! This IS from 1930's. It was my uncle John's record who was killed early in the war so I didn't meet him.
There's some bonus Jazz on this video clip. Its stirring and fun. Try it!

And they had a big time in the house of Babylon
. . Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
There was three children from the land of Israel
. . Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
Took a trip to the land of Babylon
. . Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
Nebuchadnezzar was the king of Babylon
. . Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
He took a lot of gold and made an idol
. . Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
And he told everybody when you hear the music of the trumpet
And he told everybody when you hear the music of the flute
And he told everybody when you hear the music of the horn
You must fall down and worship the idol
. . Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
But the children of Israel would not bow down
. . Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
So the king put the children in a fiery furnace
He heaped on coal and red-hot brimestone
Seven times hotter, hotter than it oughta be
. . Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
Well they couldn't even burn a hair on the head of Shadrach
Laughing and talking while the fire is jumping around
Old Nebuchadnezzar called "Hey there!" when he saw the power of the Lord
And they had a big time in the house of Babylon
. . Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
Have a nice Easter! Keep well.
When you're done with that one. Here is a later one perhaps too near the mark but more to your taste until recently perhaps?
Well Well Well

Well, well, well, who's that callin'?
Well, well, well, hold my hand
Well, well, well, night is a-fallin'
Spirit is a-movin' all over this land
Lord told Noah, build him an ark
Build it out of hickory bark
Old ark a-movin', and the water start to climb
God send a fire, not a flood next time
Well, well, well, who's that callin'?
Well, well, well, hold my hand
Well, well, well, night is a-fallin'
Spirit is a-movin' all over this land
God said fire comin' judgement day
He said all mankind gonna pass away
Brothers and sisters, don't you know?
You're gonna reap just what you sow
Well, well, well, who's that callin'?
Well, well, well, hold my hand
Well, well, well, night is a-fallin'
Spirit is a-movin' all over this land
World's not waitin' for the lord's command
Buildin' a fire that'll sweep the land
Thunder out of heaven, comin' Gabriel's call
And the sea's gonna boil, and the sky's gonna fall
Who's that callin'?
Hold my hand
Night is a-fallin'
Spirit is a-movin' all over this land
Well, well, well
Good ain't it?
Keep well!
