Being Friday the Ninth Day of March, 2018 ...

It did indeed rain!

Nevertheless, we had an adequate quorum to pay the rent.

We paid at least three visits to a London river ...

... flow softly.

There was March wind ...

Low down fireman,
Dirty engineer.

Laurie engaged in an agricultural occupation ...

If you're standing by then
you'll all get your share.

An odin stone is a monolith that has a hole in it.
Lovers would plight their troth by joining hands through the hole and sharing a broken sixpence ...

... and you shall have the story as it was told to me.

It didn't always end well in folk song!

Ken indulged in parody ...

Here is Spencer.

Conor recalled a famous battle of 1836 ...

Where is Davy Crockett?

Elayne dreamed of going home ...

Finally, Roger painted a picture for us ...

Martha Walter, 1875-1976
... in available light.

A Revolutionary Poetical Form ...

You have heard of the iambic pentameter, haven't you?

Consider this literary masterpiece consisting of three, non-scanning and rhyming lines ...

Louise says, "There will be no snow."
Will you come on Friday ... yes or no?
... I really, really do hope so.

What shall we call this new poetic form?

Henceforth it shall be known as 'the dyslexic triathlonameter'.

Worry not ...
Running, swimming and cycling will not be obligatory if you attend the club on Friday, 9th.

WE WILL BE THERE!

However, Louise forecasts a little rain ...

Thanks to BBC Weather.

Update about tomorrow, 2nd March.

OK, so Carol Kirkwood may consider that 1st March is the first day of meteorological spring ...

However, it will be cold tomorrow, storm Emma is on her way and driving might become hazardous.

So, we'll cancel tomorrow's activities, stay at home, keep warm and practise all those songs/tunes that we can perform next week.

Meanwhile, enjoy this ...
