Being VE (75) Day ...

This is for Berry, who might be old enough to remember the actual event ...

Now, let's all join in ...

... and we hope it's TRUE!

There have been many claims for the turning point of WW2.
1) The battle of (for) Britain 1940
2) The attack on Pearl Harbour Dec 1941 by the Japanese which pulled the USA into the conflict and Roosevelt agreed to help sort out Europe first. Churchill is said to have slept the sleep of the saved.
3)The Dam Busters Raid in 1943 which was the first operation in which I took part. Nearly!

NOTES: VE Day 8th May is also my mother's BD. She is 109 (1911). She was involved in every battle of WW1 and WW2 plus a few of her own which you may not know about. I lost my marbles when during one of these when she dropped me on my head. Its important to understand this if you want to speak to me. Before you get nasty about it let me just say I was at least born with a full set of marbles which is more than some of you can claim.
There is a plus side to this COVID19 lock-down. You don't have to listen to my musical offerings and, I don't have to listen to yours. It has also given me the opportunity to do things I have always struggled to fit in. I am learning to tell the time. This means that I will know when a song has gone on too long. I have also learned how to write a load of twaddle. Ken will be furious - I hope! How am doing?
Oh is that the time? Surely it should be dark by now?
